Diadem Tone TR-1 Tone Regen Box
Recorded a great performance but not happy with the guitar or bass tone? The TR-1 Tone Regen Box lets you fix it after the fact. It takes a track from your DAW and sends it back out to a real amplifier or effects chain, so you can re-record it with a new sound. The performance stays the same, and the tone gets a second life.
The TR-1 is a fully passive, transformer-isolated reamp box. It is hand-assembled with audiophile-grade components and uses custom-designed, carefully calibrated transformers for accurate, authentic tone reproduction.
What Is Reamping?
Reamping means sending an already-recorded signal back through a guitar amplifier or effects so it can be re-recorded. It's usually done with a clean DI guitar or bass track. The catch is that an audio interface puts out a balanced, line-level, low-impedance signal, while a guitar amp expects an unbalanced, instrument-level, high-impedance signal like the one coming straight from a guitar. A reamp box bridges that gap, so the amp responds as if the instrument were plugged straight in.
Why Engineers Use It
Reamping separates the performance from the tone. You can track a clean DI signal, then decide on amps, pedals and mic placement later in the mix, with the finished song around it. The TR-1 is designed so the signal arrives at the amp as naturally as possible:
- Fully passive design – needs no power supply
- Transformer isolation – for highly authentic tone reproduction, and it electrically separates your interface from your amp
- Balanced attenuation before the transformer – preserves the full dynamic range of your recording
