At its core, Smart Box delivers 130+ high-quality effects with up to 9 effect blocks at once, so your full chain lives in one preset — drives, amp, cab, modulation, delay, reverb and more. The HD colour display and dedicated module-select buttons make edits quick and obvious, while the fully adjustable signal chain lets you build anything from tight modern gain stacks to pristine stereo ambient rigs, bass presets, or acoustic-style tones.

Neural Amp Modeling (NAM) is a way of recreating the sound and “feel” of a real guitar amp by using a trained model (a kind of machine-learning capture) that learns how an amp responds across different playing dynamics, gain levels, and EQ interactions. In practical terms, it’s like taking a “snapshot” of a specific amp setup (amp + settings, often paired with a cab IR) and loading that capture into your modeller so it behaves much closer to the real thing than a generic amp model. That’s why NAM gets compared to systems like Kemper Profiling and other capture-based platforms: you’re not just picking from a fixed list of factory amp models, you can use captures of specific amps and tones, swap cabs via IRs, and build a library of rigs that match the exact vibe you want — from classic clean edge-of-breakup to tight modern high gain — while still keeping everything portable and recallable in presets.
